Video that AI can find

More and more questions go to an AI assistant instead of a search engine. What that means for video, and what we do about it.

When people look for a supplier, a hotel or a product today, they increasingly ask an AI assistant rather than a search engine. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity. Even Google now puts an AI-written answer above the results.

For a brand, that raises a simple question: when someone asks about your field, does the answer mention you?

AI doesn't watch video, it reads it

An assistant doesn't play your video the way a person does. It works with the text around it: the title, the description, the transcript, the captions and the page the video lives on. Search engines also read structured data, a machine-readable description of the video (schema.org VideoObject), which Google explicitly recommends for video.

Video without text is close to invisible to AI. A beautiful spot sitting on a website with no description and no transcript gives an assistant nothing to build an answer from.

What we deliver with the video

That's why our work doesn't end with the export. A finished video comes with:

  • Transcript and captions. What's said in the video is also written down. People can read it with the sound off; machines can read it at all.
  • A description that answers a question. Not "our new spot", but what it shows, who it's for and why.
  • Structured data. Title, description, thumbnail, duration and date in a form search engines understand.
  • A page with real content. The video set inside text that stands on its own, such as an article or a case study.
  • The same names everywhere. Brand, product and place named consistently on the website, in the video and on social, so AI can connect them into one thing.
  • Formats from one master. The same approved version on the website, YouTube and social, so the content doesn't splinter into ten slightly different copies.

What we can't promise

Nobody can guarantee that an AI assistant will mention you. Anyone who promises that is promising something outside their control.

What can be done is to give the assistant something to draw on: clear, verifiable, well-described content in the places it looks. That part is in our hands, and we do it with every video.
